Programme proposal for magazine show
Name of magazine show- PGTV (Paddington Green TV)
Format of programme
4 Presenters- Preferably 2 Males and 2 females. The two main presenters who will be
engaging in conversation with the guest and giving film trailer reviews
must be humorous, entertaining and tend to flirt with each other to keep the
views in tune. The news reader must be able to read without making
mistakes. The presenter reviewing topics such as fashion, sports etc should
have a good knowledge about those aspects and, also should be able
to relate to them as well.
Introduction- The two main presenters will brief the audience on what will be coming
up throughout the shows and the time a certain topic will be on and also who
will be appearing on the show and when. This should be a maximum of 5 minutes.
What will be in the magazine show?
The magazine show will consist of the following topics;
·
News reviews including; sports highlights, weather forecast (which will
be like a comedy style weather report to entertain the target audience),
newspaper highlights and so on forth.
·
Fashion review- What's trending. As it is winter many college student
struggle with what to wear, so this will help them with their decision.
·
University fees and loans go into depth about UCAS- This will
particularly be aimed at 2nd year or students that are almost at the stage of
deciding on their top 5 universities and those who will be going to university
later on.
·
Reviewing film trailers- looking at the latest films with the highest
ratings and giving opinions and finding out information about these films. Finding
out if a certain film is worth going to see at the cinema.
·
Vacations spots- Christmas is near and most of us are dreading where we
will spend our Christmas. The presenter (s) will brief the audience on good
vacation spots for the Christmas. Also where to go during half term and so on
forth.
·
Discussing the latest music video
·
And finally the guest- Someone who has a talent and want to share it
with the public
Shooting style:
Preferably three cameras: home camera- This is the one the presenters
will looking in at all times
Camera 2 is one the guest and a camera 3- records the whole thing.
I will use tripods to get a more professional looking result and also to
have stable shots without any movements. A moving tripod to move alongside the
action in order to keep up with everything the presenters does.
Different camera angles, sizes and movements: Full shot when
introducing the presenters and when introducing guest. Medium shot when
presenters are interviewing guest. Close up on facial expressions. Zoom into
television when reviewing the news, on newspaper when reviewing newspaper
headlines and so on forth. Establishing shot when changing location. Pan down
on an outfit when reviewing fashion.
Setting/ staging
The staging will be similar to that of the Wendy Williams show, with a
sofa, center table set with water/ coffee for the guest and presenters. This is
to make the set feel welcoming. Homely and comfortable for both the guest and
the presenters. Big screen television in the back for the reviews.
The reviews and the interviews will be live on the sofa in the studio
and the others will be on location and also be put in as pre-recorded inserts.
For example, the comedy style weather report will be pre-recorded outside and
added in later.
Target Audience:
The target audience for the
magazine show is 16-20+ students of CWC that are in full time education. This
is because the topics that will be included in this magazine show will be of
more interest for that
